FORCE SYSTEM OF CLASSIFICATION

A force system may is classified as shown fig.1 below

1. COPLANAR 

If in a system of all the forces lie in the same plane then the force system known as COPLANAR.

2.NON- COPLANAR

If in a system of all the forces lie in the different plane then the force system known as NON- COPLANAR.

1.1. COPLANAR COLLINEAR

The three forces P,Q and R acting in the same plane and these forces are having a common line of action.

1.2. COPLANAR CONCURRENT

The three forces P,Q and R acting in the same plane and these forces are intersect at a common point O.

1.3. COPLANAR PARALLEL

The three forces P,Q and R acting in the same plane and these forces are parallel.

1.4. COPLANAR NON-CONCURRENT NON- PARALLEL

The three forces P,Q and R acting in the same plane and these forces are neither parallel nor meet or intersect at a common point.

2.1. NON-COPLANAR CONCURRENT

The three forces P,Q and R acting in the different plane and these forces are intersect at a common point O.

2.2.NON-COPLANAR PARALLEL

The three forces P,Q and R acting in the different  plane and these forces are parallel.

2.3. NON-COPLANAR NON CONCURRENT NON PARALLEL

The three forces P,Q and R acting in the different plane and these forces are neither parallel nor meet or intersect at a common point.
